Not many people ever think of installing custom bedroom furniture in their homes. Most people think that these are only meant for the rich and wealthy. This is not quite true. The fact is that there are different grades of custom made bedroom furniture. A set of furniture hand-made by craftsmen from high quality hardwoods like mahogany or oak would, of course, cost you a bundle. But there are cheaper, more modular forms of custom furniture, often made from cheaper fiberboard. These wardrobes are usually made a bit smaller than common bedroom sizes. During the installation process, filler panels will be used to enable a proper fit. Most of the interior will also be pre-built and then installed on-site. In general, the differences in size between different bedrooms will be absorbed by the space allocated for hanging your clothes. This is, arguably, the easiest part to actually custom-build.
But how is this a reason to buy custom bedroom furniture? Because custom furniture is not as expensive as you think it is, you actually have a lot more freedom to have it designed the way you like. For example, when you buy a flat-packed wardrobe, the doors are usually hinged. When you get someone to build your wardrobe for you, you can ask for a sliding door. Because you do not need to allocate extra space for the door to swing open, you gain space for additional furniture or a bigger bed.
And how about your clothes? Did you always have to fold them because there was never enough space in your old wardrobe? With a custom-fitted wardrobe, you can have it stretch from one wall to the other. Furthermore, you can ask for as much of this space as you need to be used for hanging your clothes. That means apart from your towels, undies and other unmentionables, you can hang the rest of your clothes up. No more tedious folding of clothes every time you do your laundry.
Not many people order custom bedroom furniture. They think they cannot afford it. However, those who know better gain some major advantages from their switch.
