Perfume Review: Love At First Glow And Zara for Her

This perfume review is about two feminine fragrances, which are probably less known than others, but deserve to be known more.
The first one is Love At First Glow by Jennifer Lopez. It was launched in 2006 as a special edition of Glow. The bottle has the same sleek shape, with a a pendant hanging from the neck.

The first whiff is quite fruity, with traces of florals, less cheerful and young compared to the original JLO perfume Glow, but still with tones of juicy fruit, like peach and strawberry. In the middle notes, the fruits grow sweeter, but also less intense, leaving room to roses, with soft wood and dry vanilla. This change makes the aroma less fresh and more suitable for the winter. Compared to the original Glow, the rose is the same, but it is more powdery and denser. In the final stage, the fragrance it still intense and catchy, still dominated by florals, especially with a soapy jasmine, with vanilla in the background.

The three main notes of rose, jasmine and vanilla can also be found in the original Glow, but they are mixed differently. In general it less intense than the original with less potential during night outs or n romantic situations. I love this perfume because it’s perfect for the office, as it’s very feminine and not intrusive at all. Although it could be suitable for teenagers of 15 years of age, it can be worn up to 50 years with the right personality.

The second fragrance is Zara for Her, feminine version of Zara for Him. If you happen to go to any Zara shop, you will notice it immediately for the white plastic square-shaped bottle.

The colour white here is not by accident as white are the florals in the second part. The opening however, is quite feminine and aquatic, with also a soft lemon and an aromatic mandarin. In the middle phase, the structure remains the same but with more florals, which dominate in the base notes, with a soapy jasmine and lilies, but also classic gardenia and rose. The result is again very feminine and soft, and reminds of L’Air du Temps by Nina Ricci (another perfume that will never miss from my shelf).

The fragrance feels quite fresh, without a distinctly dominant note. It’s perfectly suitable for the summer, especially for a daily use in a work environment, and for romantic situations, although not overtly seductive, it will help create a nice atmosphere by projecting a relaxed image.
